The evening starts with formal ceremonies of welcome involving the traditional preparation, presentation and sharing of the Fijian national drink, Yagona. Guests then move to the formal dining area. The Meke Lovo Menu is a deluxe assortment of Fijian foods normally reserved for those of high chiefly status. This is followed by a Fijian entertainment group performing the "Meke" which is a collection of lively songs and dances of traditional Fijian culture. A Matanivanua or "herald" is provided for the group and acts as their spokesman during the ceremonies, assisting with all explanations during the feasting and entertainment.

kidnap kapers

Your guests meet at the beach for what they believe is leisurely sunset cocktails on a tropical evening. As they absorb the romantic atmosphere, suddenly "fierce Fijian warriors" take command!

A pre-selected participant is carried off into the darkness and the rest of the group then board boats for transfers to Akuilau Island, the home of the warriors. As they arrive on the beach the warriors are cooking their "catch" in a large cannibal pot. Some bartering with bottles of rum and other treasures eventually secures the release of the prisoner. The warriors are so pleased with their bounty that they invite the group to join them with the drinking of the rum and the traditional feast they have prepared.

The evening continues with the amazing firewalking ceremony and meke (cultural dance group). As the evening draws to a close the guests make the eight-minute transfer to the hotel by boat.

shipwrecked in paradise

Shipwrecked in Paradise is a theme that retells the story of Fiji two centuries ago, when foreigners started arriving and explored this beautiful paradise. One of them was the most legendary beachcomber, Charles Savage, a Swede, who landed after his ship "Eliza" was wrecked near the chiefly island of Bau. Charles later helped Bau conquer its tribal enemies and was then rewarded with chiefly status.

"Shipwrecked in Paradise" allows guests to relive the exciting times when beachcombers were celebrating their arrival and their survival on this beautiful island in a fishing village.

The amazing experience starts from the arrival, when guests enter the dinner venue through a white soft sandy pathway with various tropical seashells. Then a striking scene of an aquatic fishing village will welcome them. The venue is colored in aquatic blue with satins, sheer fabrics and backlit to create the oceanic feel. Further decorated with fishing nets, anchors, old rum barrels, lamps, treasure boxes, ship ropes and a boat to create the scene of a ship wreck. While the dinner tables are decorated elegantly with blue satin overlays, a mini aquarium centerpiece with candles and seashells scattered over the tables. A perfect theme to experience Fiji in 18th century!

tropical jungle

Tropical Jungle theme takes our guests into an era when the first settlers arrived and celebrated in the beautiful tropical rain forests of Viseisei in Fiji Islands. Weave your way up the pebble footpath, over a bamboo bridge and enter into a lush tropical jungle where a feast awaits you. The evening is filled with colours and styles, depicting the jungle, wild animals, jungle rangers and our very own Tarzan, King of the Jungle. The tables are set with "synthetic animal leather" and exotic leafy centre pieces with glimmering candles. It will be a true jungle experience in Fiji.
