Located on the first floor, The Westin's award winning restaurant offers stylish but informal dining. Featuring open kitchens and wood fired oven, a highlight of Allegro is dining alfresco on the private terrace amongst the tree tops of cosmopolitan Collins Street.

The hotel's Executive Chef David Albert, regularly changes menus to showcase the best of fresh, local produce all matched with an extensive wine list.

Allegro Restaurant is open during the following times:

Breakfast from 6.30 - 10.30am (11.00am on weekends)

Lunch from 12.00 - 3.00pm

Dinner from 6.00 - 10.30pm

Please note that from 14 July to 10 October 2010, Allegro Restaurant will open at the earlier time of 5.30pm on evenings where 8.00pm performances of Mary Poppins are scheduled.

Transform your weekend. Allegro's Lazy Sunday Jazz Lunch provides the perfect excuse to reconnect with friends and family and replenish the mind, body and soul.

Every Sunday afternoon from 12.00 - 3.00pm, The Westin Melbourne's restaurant welcomes guests to settle in for a lazy afternoon with sparkling wine or premium beer on arrival.

Soak up the sounds of smooth, live jazz as you indulge in a decadent three course lunch. Connect over a shared entree platter - where three appetizers are matched with wines. Dishes such as proscuito, fig and watermelon salad, confit garlic soup with smoked chicken and fennel or pan seared scallops are just a taste of what you can expect from the seasonal menu.

Continue to linger over platter style dining with a selection of three main courses to share. Indulge in chef's specialities of blue cheese crusted veal medallion with champ potatoes, baby snapper with olive tapenade or twice cooked quail with shredded coconut salad to name but a few.

Move on to sweet treats by sampling from the decadent dessert buffet - everything from white chocolate and raspberry torte to rosewater panna cotta and chocolate dipped strawberries as well as a selection of local and imported cheeses are on offer.
